That's entirely too friggen long. I have really no idea where to begin updating. Life's finally starting to look up and I'm afraid to get too gushy about anything in case I jinx it. Nothing new there. (Proceeding to knock on wood on everything wooden in this apartment >.> )
I'm completely at a loss as to describe my current situation with David. I think this sums it up perfectly (courtesy of PostSecret):
That was...without a doubt in my mind...the...
MOST KICKASSTASTICLY AMAZING TRIP IN MY LIFE EVER!!!!!!!!!
Two days of INsanity (insanitay). Or should I say NINsanity XD bwahahahaha. We had such a fucking blast! Aeris wins all the internets there are. Like, all the internets. Words can't describe how awesome it was to be able to just be ME and say whatever the hell I wanted to say, which has NEVER happened before, in person anyway. I think there was like one thing I had to hold back saying out loud while we were hanging out, and that's just cause I was too hungover to form the words properly and my throat was like "whoooo's wishing she hadn't screamed so much at that concert now, bitch?" Speaking of the concert!!
Nine Inch Nails. OH. MY. GOD.
Let me reiterate:
NINE INCH NAILS!! ZOH MAI GAWD.
Aerio has some pics, but I had only my lametastic phone on me. So here's the Setlist, with some commentary:
1. 999999 2. 1000000 3. Letting You 4. Discipline 5. March Of The Pigs 6. Head Down 7. The Frail 8. Closer 9. Gave Up 10. Me, I'm Not 11. Vessel 12. The Great Destroyer 13. 5 Ghosts III 14. 6 Ghosts II 15. 19 Ghosts III 16. Piggy (Ghosts remake) 17. The Greater Good 18. Pinion 19. Wish 20. Terrible Lie 21. Survivalism 22. 31 Ghosts IV 23. Only 24.Down In It 25. Head Like A Hole
Encore: 26. Reptile 27. God Given 28. Hurt 29. In This Twilight
First three songs were 'warm ups' it seemed, and Discipline rocked but March of the Pigs really kicked off the concert. Everyone just jumping up and down, fists in the air. Closer was a pretty good incarnation of the song. But when Pinion started.... Oh. Lord. I was sort of bouncing up and down, giddily (which could partly have been due to the elevation and having to climb 2 miles of stairs to get in, wtfbbqbtw crazy Coloradans), but then WISH. I flipped out. I went completely apeshit. I shrieked like the fangirl I was and just went crazy the rest of the show. Terrible Lie! Survivalism! all the Ghosts were fucking WIN live. And DOWN IN IT. I actually screamed 'holy shit!' into my hands. Head Like a hole about finished me off and then the screen came down with the NIN letters... I was hoping for more but ready for it to be over... and then REPTILE. I about died. Then GOD GIVEN. omfg. And when HURT played, I burst into girlish tears. Which of course multiplied with IN THIS TWILIGHT. OMFG. I will never ever have this concert topped. Except perhaps, by another NIN show. They played every song I was absolutely praying they would play, and then some! Most amazing experience EVER.
This entry would be so much longer, but I'm too drained from flying for the second time ever to talk about what it was like to fly for the first time ever. So ZOMG will have to suffice. Until the pictures go up on Facebook. XD
